HOME HEALTH CARE helps adults live independently at home for as long as possible, even with an illness or injury. This care may include skilled services such as nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. HOME HEALTH CARE is paid for by Medicare or most commercial insurance. It is more convenient and as effective as care you get in a hospital or skilled nursing facility and it is provided in the comfort of your home. HOME HEALTH CARE requires a physician order, but you may tell your physician which provider you choose.

EXAMPLES OF HOME HEALTH CARE:

• Monitoring serious illness and unstable health status
• Therapy (Physical, Occupational and Speech)
